Concerned about the well-being of all family members, the Three-star campsite Le Pessac offers a wide range of leisure, sports and relaxation activities for all ages and expectations. Our swimming pool with its paddling pool is ideal for relaxing after participating in one of the activities proposed by our animators.
Within the campsite, many activities are available. Among those accessible all year long, you will find :
- A playground for the youngest: slide, spring games, hut, wall and climbing net.
- The ping-pong table.
- A petanque court.
- A library.
- Free access to the municipal tennis court.
The playground for children in Vielmur-sur-Agout
For the pleasure of the youngest, from 3 to 10 years old, our campsite has an outdoor playground dedicated to them. They will be able to enjoy the slide, the horse and carriage on springs, the climbing wall, the climbing net, the tree house.
An opportunity for your children to make new friends and have a lot of fun!
Ideally located, next to the ping-pong table and the petanque court, nothing could be more convenient for everyone to do their own activity; parents and children are never far from each other to meet or watch each other.

To expend your energy in the middle of nature, a granite ping-pong table from Sidobre is proposed to you in free access.
You have forgotten your rackets, don’t panic, for a deposit of 10 €, we loan you two rackets and two balls that you keep throughout your stay.
The petanque court
The activity not to be missed during your campsite vacation, a party of pétanque. With family or friends, the petanque court is at your disposal.
In July and August, subject to participants, a bowls competition is organized, for adults, on Sundays at 3pm and Thursdays at 3pm by François (2 €/person); a reward is reserved for the winners. Come and meet other players for a convivial moment in a warm atmosphere.
The field is lit in the evening until 11:30 pm.
The library
If you’re not the athletic type and prefer to relax in front of a book, our library is there for you. It is open from 10am to 6pm.
Young and old alike will find something to enjoy!
Access to the tennis court
During the entire opening period of the campsite, you have access, from the campsite, to the tennis court. A good time to share with family or friends!
Remember to bring your equipment. Badge available at the reception for a 10€ deposit.

Summer animations in the Tarn
During the summer period (July 11 and August 19), entertainment is offered for the enjoyment of young and old.
During your week, subject to participants, we offer a bingo, bowls competitions, an astronomy evening when the weather permits; on Thursdays at the campsite, a local producers market.
Conviviality and good humor are the order of the day at Le Pessac campsite in Vielmur-sur-Agout, for the greatest pleasure of all!
Themed evenings and meals in Vielmur-sur-Agout
Because campsite vacations also mean wanting to enjoy an evening of entertainment, we organize from mid-July until mid-August, one evening per week. It’s on Wednesday and it’s THE night of the campsite.
A unique meal will be proposed to you, like a cassoulet, a paella… and served by us. We entrust the animation to a professional. Settle down, we take care of everything!

Every Thursday at the end of the afternoon, local producers from the Tarn, come to the campsite:
Alain is the market gardener of our village, he offers you fruits and vegetables. A basket of freshness for your stay.
A tasting of wines from the Gaillac vineyard in the Tarn, is offered to you by André from the 17-hectare Domaine de Vaissière, the southernmost of the Gaillac appellation, located on the slopes of Puech Pilié and La Courbe.
Laetitia and Delphine, two sisters, vice champions of the world 2019, artisan jam maker, offer you sweet and savory. A wide choice of products. They will delight you with their home-made jams cooked in a cauldron, their cookies, their soups, their condiments… Everything is made by them, as naturally as possible.
Nelly and her excellent homemade cakes from the past.
Aurélie highlights the benefits of walnut oil produced by her parents, nuciculturists for more than 30 years in the Tarn region; they grow the Franquette variety in their orchards, which is the result of sustainable agriculture.
Cyndie is an artisan seamstress; you choose the fabric, the colors… she makes the layette.

Treat yourself to a little interlude of well-being! Arte'Miss Creations: Cathy is a painter and designer in Vielmur-sur-Agout. She declines her art on a multitude of supports; from the canvas to the wood, from the fancy jewel to the fashion accessory. Her painting is everywhere! Afin de vous faire découvrir son univers, elle sera présente sur le marché du camping Le Pessac durant l’été. You like France, you like to travel. Go and meet it. The Tarn is a territory with many facets, very close to your campsite Le Pessac, we propose you :
The Birds’ Path
The natural reserve of Cambounet-sur-le-Sortarget and the base of the ponds of Saïx, are at 10 minutes of the campsite. You will find there :
- Sports activities (upon reservation): sailing and handi sailing, bmx, trial, archery ;
- Possibility to rent equipment from May to September: pedal boat, canoe, kayak, paddle, mountain bike, mini golf equipment;
- An equestrian center where you can take a pony ride, horseback riding lessons, a course ;
- All year round: large green spaces, a playground for children (swing, zip line, rope pyramid…), a skatepark, a fitness trail, walking loops around the lakes, a picnic area with barbecues and tables and a bird sanctuary. Take the hiking trail “le chemin des oiseaux” and come and observe them without being seen, from the top of the observatories.

The Aquaval leisure complex
It is located between Vielmur and Lautrec, 10 minutes from the campsite, in the middle of nature; go and enjoy a nice relaxing day with the children. You will find 800 square meters of swimming pool, water slides, but also collective playgrounds, a mini-golf, a bowling alley, a health course, a picnic area with barbecue or if you prefer a snack. Fishing is also possible.
The Green Way
The Voie Verte or “Passa Païs”: 10 minutes from the campsite, you can take it safely with the children, on foot or by bike and make a small part of the 75 kilometers of paths in the nature, that this way counts.
The Fiac Ponds Golf Course
If you want to take a swing, the golf course of Fiac is only 15 kilometers away. The 18-hole course has numerous water hazards.

The Rocks of Sidobre
In the heart of the Haut-Languedoc regional park, 11km east of Castres, the Sidobre Massif in the Tarn, covers 5,000 hectares; it is a magical place in the middle of the forest, where nature has formed the highest granite plateau in Europe. A wild land with a natural wealth that is granite.
Discover an exotic place with rocks as impressive as fascinating of this land of legends, wild, magical; it is the favorite playground of children, where they can create stories.
The Hawthorn circuits
At 20 minutes from the campsite, if you are rather mechanical sports, this place is for you. You can practice quad biking, motorcycle, mini buggy, electric bike, while discovering the beauty of the landscapes.
The Mazamet footbridge
30 minutes from the campsite, go for height; after discovering the historical and natural heritage of Mazamet, take a dizzying ride 70 meters above the ground, which offers you an exceptional view of the Arnette valley.
At the end of this 140-meter long aerial path, which is free and open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, set out to discover Hautpoul, a perched medieval village that guards the entrance to the Montagne Noire.
To finish, push to refresh yourself to the leisure base of the Montagnès lake: a pleasant and very shaded lake where you can swim, fish, go around the lake by a path arranged in sports and botanical course. In July and August, enjoy the fine sandy beach and swimming is supervised.
Lake of Saint Ferréol
Go spend a day at the lake of Saint Ferréol, 35 minutes from the campsite Le Pessac, a place of water activities: pedal boat, catamaran, windsurfing, paddle, or if you prefer go around the lake on a mountain bike, but also a tree climbing course. Don’t forget to pass by the charming village of Sorèze to visit the Abbey-School, a former place of worship turned school and now a museum about the life of a student in the 18th and 19th centuries, but also the Dom Robert museum about the life and work of monk-artist.
